Our mission

"We develop and improve board level governance of information technology and business change.  We do this by educating, informing and supporting directors and senior officers so that they understand their roles, communicate effectively and appreciate their organisation's unique circumstances."

Infonomics is a boutique consulting and advisory service provider, specialising in helping organisations to design, implement and improve IT Governance, and thereby to improve IT performance.

Our customers are all those stakeholders who need to have the comfort that they are doing the right thing, doing it well, and that they will be successful.  They include company directors, senior executives, business managers, technology managers, change managers, program managers and project managers.

Our particular focus is on bridging the gap that sometimes exists between the technology specialists and the boardroom.  We work with Company Directors and Officers, to Educate, Inform and Support them in discharging their IT Governance responsibilities.  We also work with CIO's, IT Managers and Project Managers to help them effectively engage, communicate and satisfy the genuine needs of the board.

Our services address the entire spectrum of contemporary IT Governance issues :

Our single aim is to help our clients establish the means of confirming for themselves, on an ongoing basis, that they will not be embarrassed by IT issues.

Why we Exist

Hardly a week goes by without some organisation being lambasted in the press for failing to keep its IT systems and projects under proper control.

Regardless of whether a key system has malfunctioned, or a major investment has gone off track, or a management deal has failed to produce the intended results, the bottom line is that IT problems are not acceptable and the demands for problems to be eliminated are more strident than ever.

Looking inside most high profile IT problems reveals that they are frequently associated with failures to properly direct, monitor and control the IT activities.  That is - most major IT failures are actually a consequence of IT GOVERNANCE failures.

Clearly, there is a need for IT to be governed more effectively - and soon.  Directors and senior officers are now being held accountable for the governance performance in their organisations.

But the challenge for many organisations is in understanding the necessary activities and controls for IT Governance processes so that IT is properly visible, directed, monitored and controlled at all levels, from the Board of Directors down.
