September 2006

5 September.  The Victorian Branch of the ACS today released the report from its August 2006 Symposium: "Where will ICT be in 2011".  The aim of the Symposium was to assist businesses, governments and delegates to plan for the ICT paradigm that may exist in 2011. Issues such as Australia's ICT infrastructure needs, supposed skills shortages, ageing population, insourcing, outsourcing, technology and ICT governance were discussed. All these and more were analysed by workshop teams and a consolidated report produced.

This report is now available to download at: https://www.acs.org.au/vic/documents/ACSSymposiumReport.pdf.
