Welcome

Plain Language about IT Governance
for executives and directors.
5 September. The Victorian Branch of the
ACS today released the report from its August 2006 Symposium: "Where will
ICT be in 2011". The aim of the Symposium was to assist
businesses, governments and delegates to plan for the ICT paradigm that may
exist in 2011. Issues such as Australia's ICT infrastructure needs, supposed
skills shortages, ageing population, insourcing, outsourcing, technology and
ICT governance were discussed. All these and more were analysed by workshop
teams and a consolidated report produced.
This report is now available to download at:

Infonomics in a Nutshell
Infonomics helps senior executives (both business and IT) and Directors protect themselves against the likelihood that problems with IT projects and operations will cause damage to the organisation’s business performance and expose them to individual risk of damaged reputation or more serious legal consequences.
Infonomics uses specialist expertise in top-level governance of IT to help organisations reduce risk and maximise the value of their investments in information and communication technology. We:
Help the organisation’s most senior personnel confirm that IT is being used appropriately, that IT investments are on track and delivering to expectation and that IT operations are well matched to business needs;
Show organisations how to ensure that all their IT activities are effective, efficient and acceptable;
Detect things that are going wrong;
Guide corrective action before valuable resources are wasted and before damage is done to performance and reputation;
Coach individuals who need to become more effective in dealing with IT matters at the top executive and Board levels.
For organisations that have recognised the importance of IT as a fundamental business resource that should be governed effectively, Infonomics provides support in respect of baselining current practice and performance, developing and implementing governance models, and supporting individuals as they operate within the new models, and assessing the results of the change.
